Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist (Adult)

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist is to oversee the coordination of care, rehabilitation planning and proper documentation of all service delivery for each individual receiving PRP (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program) services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for oversight and co-facilitation of 60 hours of on-site training of all new direct care staff (Rehabilitation Coordinators/RC’s) required by COMAR regulations and CARF conformance standards.
  • Responsible for co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to the COMAR, CARF and company polices/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation.
  • Train all RC’s on the required documentation standards and associated timelines set forth by COMAR regulations and CARF conformance standards. Such documents include but are not limited to, Screenings, Rehabilitation Assessments, Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP’s) and Encounter Notes.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to RC’s related to the development and implementation of individual and group interventions that are tailored to the specific needs of the client (s).
  • Ensure that rehabilitation services are sufficiently meeting the needs of individuals in the program on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled group and individual supervision with all direct care staff that include relevant discussions and updates regarding both administrative and clinical issues.
  • Enforce and comply with documentation and approval timelines set forth by the agency.
  • Prepare mid-month productivity reports for all RC’s to ensure agency benchmarks are being met.
  • Collaborate with internal and external treatment team providers and maintain a multi-systemic approach to ensuring the dissemination of quality care of each individual being served.
  • Identify and facilitate enrollment of all eligible clients into the program, via ongoing collaboration with the agency intake clinician, clinical supervisor and psychiatrist. Assist the Program Director in identifying and marketing to relevant referral sources that could benefit from PRP.
  • Maintain accurate and current information on all client databases.
  • Effectively respond to client emergencies and/ or urgent needs.
  • Monitor client satisfaction of services and ensure RC’s possess and utilize strong clinical/ rehabilitative skills in delivery of services.
  • Identify and develop group curriculums that are relevant to the demographic and clinical profile of the clients served.
  • Maintained consistent and open communication with the Program Director on all relevant and pertinent clinical and administrative issues related to the program.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be able to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team;
  • Must be able to analyze case information and reach sound clinical decisions;
  • Knowledgeable of the Baltimore Metropolitan Area and community resources.
  • Proficiency in utilization of MS Office Suite programs and Google applications;
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize.

Education, Licensure and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Science or related field;
  • Licensure in the social science and/ or related discipline (LGPC/LCPC or LGSW/LCSW)
  • Two (2) years of experience in administrative management within a behavioral health setting.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Coordinator (Contract)

Job Summary:

The primary functions of the Rehabilitation Coordinator will be to perform all casework duties on a day-to-day basis. The rehabilitation Coordinator will report to the Rehabilitation Specialist regarding day-to-day management of the clients and their treatment plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate in the creation and implementation of Individual Rehabilitation Plans;
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of rehabilitation contact notes and monthly and quarterly summaries;
  • Discharge recommendations and summaries;
  • Identify and address the client’s rehabilitation needs;
  • Incident reports;
  • Perform life skills training;
  • Perform life skills groups;
  • Crisis Intervention;
  • Participate in clinical training, supervision treatment teams and other clinical and educational activities;
  • Develop and implement individual service modalities tailored to the specific needs of their clients; and
  • All other duties necessary in the continued operation of the company.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to prepare formal reports, make appropriate recommendations, and record pertinent information regarding the clients on a day-to-day basis.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or alternatively the statutorily required experience and education.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PRP) Director

Job Description:

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Director will carry responsibility for the development and implementation of rehabilitation activities in accordance with state regulations. In addition, The Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PRP) Director will oversee service delivery individualized rehabilitation plans, monitoring/ observing he work of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Counselors and reviewing documentation for quality and clinically-sound practice.

Requirements:

This is a full-time management position that requires at least a forty (40) hour per week commitment and includes benefits.
